Seagull Super Chipmunk Art Scholl Pennzoil Giant Scale (60-76cc) 2.51m / 99in SEA410ART
Art Scholl American aerobatic pilot, display pilot, aerial cameraman and flight instructor was a hugely accomplished and well-known aviation personality from the late 50s to mid 80s. Notoriously killed during the filming of the first Top Gun movie, Scholl's signature air show machine was his Super Chipmunk N13Y, today hanging in the EAA Aviation Museum as a testament to his dedication and contribution to aviation.
Seagull's faithfully-reproduced, 99" span, giant scale, fully aerobatic version is not just a joy to fly, it's a treat to behold with some endearing scale touches that truly bring it to life. Working navigation and landing lights, quality, sprung, dummy oleo undercarriage legs, a sliding canopy and some fussy cockpit detail give it the edge.
Perfect for a 60 to 76cc petrol engine this is an aeroplane that'll not only turn heads while you're flying it, it'll make you smile. With its practical, fixed undercarriage, exemplary handling, sprightly aerobatic performance and locked-in feel, it's the sort of model you'll migrate towards in any weather when you don't want to waste time rigging and when quality stick time is your goal. It's a lovely thing.
