Small, good-looking, high wing aircraft that offer all the advantages of a stable training platform whilst appealing to all skill levels - because of their appearance, aerobatic capability and scale fidelity - will always be popular. However, when the subject happens to be the de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver, all excuses to resist a purchase tumble like a Jenga tower at a chimps tea party. Choosing the legendary bush plane as the subject for this new 800mm wingspan PNP all-rounder was a master stroke. Pilots love it, not only for its round engine and rugged looks but also for its varied performance envelope and adaptability. All such assets are present in this new 2S-fuelled 4-channel EPO foamie, along with a few surprises to boot.
Fast to assemble, delightfully portable and in a matching full-size colour scheme, this meticulously detailed replica offers premium features such as a steerable tail wheel, quick-release wing, secure clip-lock battery cover and a full complement of digital servos. It's a lovely thing.
Scale Detailing, Authentic Looks
Every detail of the Beaver has been carefully replicated, from the radial engine and fuselage rivet lines to the antenna and main wing struts. The steel wire landing gear is covered by realistic fairings, combining durability with a convincing scale appearance throughout.
Powerful and Quiet Brushless Motor Power
The Beaver is powered by a 2S brushless motor (2315 KV3850) that delivers smooth, quiet thrust. The motor is built to maintain reliable performance, providing dependable power for powerful flights.
Classic Quick-Release Wings
The Beaver's wings use a knob-style quick-release mechanism, allowing them to be attached or detached in seconds with no tools required. Designed for tool-free assembly, the system also makes for more compact storage when the aircraft is not in use.
3M Short Take-Off
The Beaver is designed with STOL capabilities that allow it to take off in just 3 metres, making it well-suited to tight spaces and short runways. Its compact design also makes it suitable as a park flyer for smaller flying areas.
FPV Compatible
A factory-installed camera slot on the top of the main wing is compatible with analogue FPV systems, accepting a 25mm AIO camera with no modifications needed. FPV equipment is sold separately and is not included with the Beaver.
Snap-On Battery Cover
The Beaver features a snap-on battery cover that keeps the battery firmly in place during flight. Designed to address concerns about the battery detaching mid-air, the cover provides a simple, secure means of retaining the battery throughout each flight.
