Skill Level 3 – Intermediate Pilots
Skill Level 3 aircraft, like this one, are suitable for RC pilots who already have experience with "Next Step" and beyond aircraft, plus the skills to assemble, set up and fly similar class models. And although this is one of the easiest to fly P-47 models yet, it's not a suitable first-ever RC aircraft for new pilots. You should have the experience and skills necessary to successfully fly UMX and other warbird models including the E-flite P-51D Mustang 1.0m, T-28 Trojan 1.1m, or the 1.2m and larger models before attempting to fly the Micro P-47 Thunderbolt.

Telemetry Capability
The Micro P-47 Thunderbolt is equipped with an exclusive Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC that provides a variety of real-time power system-related telemetry data including overall battery voltage, current draw, and more – when using Smart and non-Smart batteries – to compatible Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6 to 20, the iX12 to 20, and others) while you fly.
High Performance
The factory-installed brushless power system features a powerful 3S-compatible outrunner motor equipped with a 4-blade prop. This power system setup delivers great speed and vertical performance, plus flight times, when using the recommended 600mAh non-Smart and 850mAh Smart 30+C LiPo batteries with an IC2 connector.
Functional Features
This is the first micro class warbird model to include functional retracts, flaps for shorter takeoffs/landings plus improved slow-speed performance, along with LED navigation lights. The retractable landing gear with a steerable tail wheel makes it easy to taxi, take off from, and land on smooth surfaces, or you can leave the landing gear retracted to hand launch and belly land when flying over grass.
