Overlander XP2 40A SBEC Brushless RTF (With Deans & 3.5mm Gold Bullets) Speed Controller ESC 2722
The Overlander XP2 40A SBEC Brushless Speed Controller is a powerful and versatile ESC designed for RC aircraft, offering precise and reliable performance. Perfectly compatible with Overlander’s Tornado Thumper motors, it is available in both bare-lead and Ready-to-Fly (RTF) configurations. The RTF option features pre-installed 3.5mm gold connectors for the motor and a Deans connector for the battery, simplifying setup and ensuring secure connections.
With a continuous current rating of 40A and a burst current of 55A, this ESC is ideal for sport planes, aerobatic models, and large electric gliders. Its built-in SBEC (Switching Battery Eliminator Circuit) offers increased efficiency compared to traditional linear BECs. SBECs generate less heat and maintain a consistent voltage output for onboard electronics, making them ideal for models with multiple servos or high-power requirements. Delivering a consistent 5V or 6V output at up to 4A, the SBEC ensures reliable power for servos and receivers without taxing your main battery.
Compact at 68 x 25 x 12mm and weighing 42g, it supports 2-6S LiPo batteries, offering exceptional versatility. Settings are fully adjustable using the Overlander XP2 Program Card, allowing for precise customisation to match your model’s specific needs.

Safety Information
Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for safe installation and use. Ensure secure connections and monitor the ESC’s temperature during operation. Avoid exceeding recommended voltage and current ratings. Dispose of electronics responsibly in line with local regulations.
Please Note
The XP2 series is designed for model aircraft. While reverse motor direction is supported, switching between forward and reverse during operation is not possible. For applications like boats that require quick directional changes, a marine ESC is recommended.
Top Tip
For setups with four or more servos, consider a separate receiver battery pack or upgraded UBEC for consistent power delivery.
